German KFOR forces organized the traditional military competition “Saulauf” at the “Bondsteel” camp in Pristina.
The competition featured 12 teams from five KFOR mission countries, including Finland, Germany, Poland, Latvia, and the United States, reports Rks News.

“The participants pushed their limits through a 6.5 km run and five intensive stations. The stations included pulling a truck, diving into ice water, grenade throwing, shooting, and transporting an 80 kg injured person, with each team giving their all. In the end, Latvia claimed victory.
These competitions build more than just strength—they foster trust, camaraderie, solidarity, mutual respect, and multinational cooperation within KFOR,” the announcement said.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, contributing to a safe environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and ensuring freedom of movement at all times, impartially.
