German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has reacted to the tragic incident in Magdeburg, Germany, through a post on the platform X, expressing his thoughts with the victims and their families.
“Reports from Magdeburg indicate that something very bad is happening. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. We stand with you and with the people of Magdeburg. My thanks go to the dedicated rescue workers in these hours of distress,” wrote Scholz.
It is worth noting that in 2016, a terrorist drove a truck into a crowd at a Christmas market in Berlin, leaving 13 dead and 67 injured.
