Tonight, the second semi-final of the 69th edition of the European Song Contest, “Eurovision,” will take place. This year, the festival is being held in Basel, Switzerland.
A total of 16 countries will perform in the second semi-final.
Only the ten most-voted performances will advance to the Grand Final. In the first semi-final, Albania qualified for the final, represented by Shkodra Elektronike with the song “Zjerm”.
The Grand Final will take place on Saturday, May 17.
Switzerland is hosting Eurovision for the first time in 36 years. Swiss artist Nemo won Eurovision last year. Prior to that, the last Swiss winner was Celine Dion in 1988.
Switzerland also had the honor of hosting the very first Eurovision in history.
