Serbian Minister for Europe, Nebojša Starović, responded to former Serbian diplomat Nebojša Vujović following the latter’s statement that Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Gjurić’s visit to Washington is connected to a secret U.S.-sponsored agreement to recognize Kosovo as a state, Rks News reports.
Starović stated that Vujović has provided no credible evidence for this claim and that the only source is “his rotten imagination.”
“Thus, it is a shameless lie aimed at casting a shadow over Minister Gjurić’s successful visit to Washington and obstructing the progress of relations between Serbia and the United States,” Starović wrote.
According to him, Serbia, under President Aleksandar Vučić, continues to defend “its territorial integrity by holding firm on political and diplomatic lines, despite all the defeatists, deserters, and other Vujovićs.”
