A segment of the Ferizaj–Gjilan road, specifically in the village of Sojevë, has been closed to traffic, authorities confirmed on Sunday.

According to Kanun Veseli, spokesperson for the Ferizaj Regional Police, the closure is due to water accumulation on the roadway, while other roads in the Ferizaj region remain passable.

Veseli advised drivers to use the alternative route Ferizaj–Mirosal–Gjilan, in both directions.

He further clarified that most roads across the Ferizaj region, including Ferizaj, Kaçanik, Shtime, Shtërpcë, and Hani i Elezit, are generally open to traffic.

“Roads in the Ferizaj region, including the municipalities of Ferizaj, Kaçanik, Shtime, Shtërpcë, and Hani i Elezit, are mostly passable. The only exception is the Ferizaj–Gjilan road segment near the village of Sojevë, which remains closed due to water accumulation,” Veseli told Express.

Authorities urge drivers traveling in this direction to follow police guidance and use designated alternative routes until conditions improve.
