Serb List has once again continued its established practice during the elections being held today in the Republic of Kosovo, organizing groups of voters to collectively head to polling stations.
Dozens of Serb citizens gathered near the Serb List headquarters at “Korzo” Square in North Mitrovica, from where they are expected to depart in an organized and group-based manner toward polling centers to exercise their right to vote.
However, Kosovo’s electoral legislation explicitly prohibits organized voting, stipulating that citizens must cast their votes individually, freely, and without any form of influence or pressure.
Despite this legal framework, the Serb List has previously been reported to mobilize voters in an organized fashion, raising recurring concerns about compliance with electoral rules and the integrity of the voting process.
These developments have once again drawn attention to the challenges of enforcing electoral standards, particularly in northern municipalities, where organized voter mobilization has repeatedly been flagged as a potential violation of election laws.
