It has been three weeks since Serb List submitted a complaint to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo regarding the election of Nenad Rashiq as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.

The party claims that the election violated the Constitution, the Assembly’s Rules of Procedure, and previous Constitutional Court rulings.

Since then, the Constitutional Court has yet to issue a decision on the matter.

Constitutional affairs expert Mazllum Baraliu told IndeksOnline that the Court has delayed issuing a verdict regarding Serb List’s complaint about Rashiq’s election as Deputy Speaker.

According to him, the Constitutional Court should reject Serb List’s request as inadmissible.

“The correct decision would be to dismiss the request because, by seeking a protective measure, Serb List is clearly interested in blocking and delaying the process of forming institutions,” Baraliu said.

It is recalled that the new Assembly of Kosovo was constituted on October 10, with Nenad Rashiq elected as Deputy Speaker representing the Serbian community.

His election took place after all nine Serb List deputies, despite being voted on three times, failed to obtain the necessary votes.
