The Serb List claims to have won all 10 reserved seats in the Kosovo Parliament for the Serbian community. However, the other political entity For Freedom, Justice, and Survival, led by Nenad Rašić, believes it will be represented by at least one deputy based on preliminary results, leaving the Serb List with only 9 seats.

In a conference held late on Sunday, the outgoing Minister for Communities and Returns, Rašić, stated that despite efforts to defeat them with brute force, his party will undoubtedly be part of the Parliament.

“We are absolutely confident that we will be part of the Parliament, but I do not want to rush this as we will wait for the official results. Afterward, it will be clear that our party may not just have one, but even more deputies, because I believe we deserve it, not only because we fight for the authentic Serbs of Kosovo but because we won the right number of votes,” Rašić said.

The Serb List and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, declared victory even before the preliminary results were announced. Both considered the Serb List’s result a victory for Serbia.

“I want to give you the news that from the preliminary results in all Serbian settlements in Kosovo and Metohija, our party is the absolute winner of these elections and that the Serb List and the Serbian people have 10 seats in the Assembly in Pristina,” said Zlatan Elek, the head of the Serb List.

“These results are almost unbelievable considering what Kurti did to destroy the Serbian people and the Serb List, and everything the internationals did, openly and secretly, to destroy the Serb List and help everyone else against the strongest Serbian representatives,” Vučić stated.

Rašić called their declarations disinformation. He also complained that supporters of the Serb List provoked near his party’s offices with large celebrations.

The preliminary result from the Democracy in Action coalition of observers also shows that Rašić’s political entity has won one seat in Parliament.

This is also confirmed by the preliminary results of over 95% of votes counted.

If confirmed, this will be the first time Rašić’s party will be represented in the Assembly.

Since its establishment over 10 years ago, the Serb List has won all reserved seats for Serbs, except in the 2017 elections, when one seat was won by the SLS of Slobodan Petrović.
