The Serb List has been fined €800 for placing campaign posters on residential buildings along Knez Miloš Street in North Mitrovica without the permission of the property owners.
According to the decision of the Electoral Panel for Appeals and Complaints (PZAP), the party’s actions violated the General Elections Law, which clearly prohibits political entities from placing announcements, posters, or any campaign slogans inside or on private properties without consent. The law also bans unauthorized postings on public buildings, public spaces, traffic signs, or premises used by international organizations.
PZAP ordered the immediate removal of all illegal posters and warned that failure to comply could result in additional fines. The decision is final and not subject to appeal.
Other complaints filed regarding the Serb List’s campaign were considered too late to be reviewed, according to PZAP.
This ruling highlights a serious disregard by the Serb List for electoral law and citizens’ property, underscoring the need for accountability and respect for democratic processes.
