Serb List, the largest political party representing Serbs in Kosovo and supported by Belgrade, stated that, according to preliminary results, it won more than 90 percent of the Serb community’s votes in the December 28 elections, securing all ten parliamentary seats reserved for the Serb community.
The leader of Serb List, Zlatan Elek, said at a press conference that the party won by a landslide in Serb-majority municipalities, while the party “For Freedom, Justice and Survival”, led by Nenad Rašić, received votes in areas where Serbs do not reside.
As an example, he noted that Rašić’s party won 332 votes in Prizren, 52 in Gjakova, and 33 in Ferizaj.
“We are obliged to wait for the assessment of the Central Election Commission,” he said.
Serb List official Igor Simić added that the counting of conditional ballots is still pending and that more than 1,000 votes from displaced persons from Kosovo, who also voted in Sunday’s elections, are currently being processed.
Based on the count of 98.40 percent of the votes, Serb List received 4.37 percent, or 37,896 votes.
