The so-called “Serbian Office for Kosovo,” led by nationalist Petar Petković, has announced that, “by order of the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, another Serb has been expelled from Kosovo overnight.” The office claims the individual is Aleksandar S. (34) from Brezovica, near Shtërpce, who is employed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Banja, Niš, reports Paparaci.com.
Details of the Alleged Expulsion
According to Petković’s office, Aleksandar S. was detained yesterday afternoon at the Elezi Han border crossing while returning to Kosovo from North Macedonia. “During the night, he too, through the same mechanism that Pristina has applied in the last two weeks, was expelled from Kosovo and is currently in Serbia,” the statement alleges. It further claims that he is the eleventh Serb police officer to be expelled from his home by “Albin Kurti’s unilateral, illegal, and illegitimate decision.”
Accusations of Persecution and Ethnic Cleansing
Petković’s office stated that the “policy of persecution of Serb police officers from Kosovo continues,” asserting that their “fundamental human rights, guaranteed by many international conventions,” are being violated, with no protection from international missions that are “supposed” to guarantee the respect of Serb rights in Kosovo.
“The policy of terror, persecution, and revenge against the Serb population of Kosovo is the core of Albin Kurti’s anti-Serb policy, who, before the eyes of the world, is implementing a policy of ethnic cleansing and taking steps that lead to escalation, instead of engaging in dialogue and normalization of relations,” concludes the statement from Petković’s office.
