Kosovo police officer Dylot Brahimi has responded after Serbia issued an arrest warrant against him following a recent incident involving high school graduates in northern Kosovo.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Brahimi said that now more than ever, he is determined to continue serving with integrity, commitment, and honor.
“Today, more than ever, I feel determined to continue with integrity, with dedication, and with honor. To work wholeheartedly for a just, transparent police force that is always close to the citizens,” he wrote.
The officer also expressed gratitude for the public support he received after the incident in northern Mitrovica.
“Dear colleagues, friends, and all those who have supported me,
Today I stand before you with a deep sense of gratitude and pride. It is a feeling that stems from the extraordinary support I have received throughout my service in the State Police. Every encouraging word, every extended hand, every trust placed in me — all have left an indelible mark on my dedication to this duty,” Brahimi wrote.
He emphasized that working in the Kosovo Police is not just a profession, but a calling, and that the support he has received is the force that pushes him forward.
“You have given me the motivation to be better every day, reminding me why this job matters so much… Let us move forward together — with trust, unity, and commitment to the common good,” he concluded.
