Serbia is seen as a destabilizing factor in the Western Balkans region.
Deputies and former deputies of the Serbian Parliament say it has not given up on Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Even the Albanian deputy in the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, says Serbia is waiting for geopolitical circumstances to change to attack Kosovo.
According to Kamberi, Serbia’s alliance with China and Russia is a clear signal to the Western world.
“They have already said they are waiting for a suitable geopolitical moment when they will march again into Kosovo. So, we are dealing with a destabilizing and war-mongering policy supported by two world powers such as China and Russia. With these two powers, Serbia will aim to destabilize Kosovo, especially in the northern part of the country,” said Kamberi.
Another politician, Aleksandar Olenik, does not rule out the possibility of a similar attack as in Banjska happening again.
However, according to him, the security situation is more sensitive in Bosnia and Herzegovina than in Kosovo.
“Serbia cannot afford to wage war with Kosovo or Bosnia because it would imply direct conflict with NATO, and Serbia knows very well how the last conflict with the North Atlantic alliance ended. However, the possibility that Serbia may try to create a small conflict like the one in Banjska is not ruled out. But I see the security situation much more sensitive in Bosnia and Herzegovina than in Kosovo. At these moments, a conflict in the Western Balkans region would be extremely beneficial to Russia,” said Olenik.
We recall that in recent years, Serbia has significantly increased its military investments.
