Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has accused Serbia of continuing to wage hybrid warfare against Kosovo, using covert operations and orchestrated attacks to destabilize the region.

During a press conference, Kurti highlighted recent incidents, including the armed assault in Banjska in September 2023 and the attack on the Ibër-Lepenc water canal infrastructure, as evidence of Serbia’s ongoing campaign.

“Gradually, the situation in the four northern municipalities has been escalated through small groups linked to Milan Radoičić,” Kurti said. Radoičić is widely recognized as a key figure in organized crime and the architect of recent violent incidents in northern Kosovo.

Citing intelligence from Kosovo’s security institutions, Kurti revealed that Radoičić has designated two individuals to lead operations and execute attacks in the north. These individuals, who allegedly participated in the Banjska terrorist attack, are now believed to be sheltering in Serbia.

“These two individuals are Nemanja Radivojević, known as ‘Gandi,’ and Vladimir Radivojević, known as ‘Mami,’” Kurti disclosed, adding that both men are actively coordinating assaults through their respective groups.

Kurti reiterated that Serbia’s involvement in these attacks represents a continuation of hybrid warfare aimed at undermining Kosovo’s sovereignty and security. He urged the international community to address Serbia’s actions and support efforts to stabilize the region.

These accusations come amid heightened tensions in the north, where Serbian-backed groups have been accused of targeting critical infrastructure and engaging in terrorist activities to disrupt governance in Kosovo’s predominantly Serb-populated areas.

Kosovo’s leadership has consistently called for stronger international measures against Serbia to curtail such destabilizing actions and ensure accountability for those involved.
