Nevzad Lutfiu, the Chairman of the Albanian National Council, announced that Serbia’s Ministry for Human Rights and Minorities in Belgrade has requested the cancellation of Kosovo’s agricultural subsidy program for farmers in the Preševo Valley. According to Lutfiu, the Serbian Ministry is demanding that Kosovo’s decision to allocate subsidies for agricultural crops be annulled, citing that the decision is allegedly illegal.

The Ministry’s request comes with a warning that if the Albanian National Council does not revoke the decision, the Ministry will take matters into its own hands, arguing that Kosovo’s action is unlawful.

Despite this pressure, Lutfiu stated that the decision will not be revoked, and after consulting with the Government of Kosovo, the next steps will be announced.

Lutfiu emphasized that Serbia is violating its own laws when it comes to the interests of Albanians, using this pressure as part of an ethnic cleansing strategy.
