Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Gjuriq has once again targeted Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani with baseless accusations, following her interview on Fox News where she praised former U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts in preventing conflicts, including a potential escalation involving Serbia.

Gjuriq labeled Osmani’s statements as “false claims” and accused her of using the interview “to spread lies” and misrepresent Kosovo’s government. He claimed, without evidence, that Kosovo’s leadership is “anti-Trump” and sought to portray Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti as adversaries of U.S. policy.

In his statements on X, Gjuriq also misrepresented the suspension of the U.S.-Kosovo strategic dialogue, suggesting that Kosovo “forgot” key facts, and tried to link Osmani’s engagement with U.S. political events to alleged foreign interference.

Experts and observers note that this is part of an ongoing Serbian propaganda campaign aimed at damaging Kosovo’s international reputation and weakening its relations with the United States. By spreading misinformation, Serbia and its officials attempt to cast Kosovo as unreliable and to discredit its elected leaders.

Despite these efforts, Kosovo continues to uphold its sovereignty and maintain strong diplomatic ties with Washington, showing resilience against Serbia’s attempts at political manipulation.
