A mass protest titled “The Uprising of Serbia” is set to take place today across 34 cities throughout Serbia, organized by the national student movement. The demonstrations are scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM, with the slogan “Decentralization is Loading”, aiming to amplify the voices of citizens from all corners of the country.
Student representative Vukašin Đinović stated that the protest is intended to show that the movement has broad national support.
“The goal is to count ourselves, to show that we are present everywhere, and that citizens have awakened and are rising up,” Đinović said. He emphasized that students have been calling for early parliamentary elections for over a month.
Unlike the large-scale protest held in Belgrade on March 15, today’s demonstrations focus on decentralization, empowering smaller cities and towns to participate locally and visibly.
Organizers expect high turnout and positive energy, stressing that this is more than just a demand to be heard — it’s a clear sign that they are not a “silent minority,” but rather a determined majority seeking change.
