Aleksandar Vlajić, an agent of Serbia’s BIA intelligence agency, has pleaded guilty to charges of espionage and unauthorized weapons possession in Kosovo. The Special Prosecution announced today that Vlajić reached a plea agreement during Thursday’s court session.
Vlajić was initially arrested in June 2024 on suspicion of collecting and transmitting sensitive information to the Intelligence and Security Agency of the Republic of Serbia.
According to the Prosecution, Vlajić had established a network of Serbian nationals employed within various international organizations in Kosovo. From this network, he allegedly received information and work reports pertaining to political and security aspects within Kosovo’s territory, as detailed in the indictment.
When asked by the judge if he understood the consequences of his guilty plea, Vlajić responded with a clear “yes” in Serbian, acknowledging the charges against him.
