Marko Blagojević, Serbia’s ambassador to Austria and a former member of the notorious Special Operations Unit (JSO), has launched a sharp attack on Austrian Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Andreas Schieder.

The incident was reported by Borko Stefanović, vice president of the SSP party, to Nova.rs.

According to Stefanović, Blagojević criticized Schieder for supporting student and citizen protests in Serbia and for condemning the violence of the ruling SNS regime.

“He did all of this in Serbian because, despite being Serbia’s ambassador to Austria, he does not speak German,” Stefanović remarked.

Before his appointment in Vienna, Blagojević was Serbia’s ambassador to Cyprus, where he reportedly spent €20,000 on his national team in a single day. His tenure also raised concerns over a suspicious embassy purchase 30 kilometers from central Beirut.

Stefanović emphasized that it is highly unusual in diplomatic practice for an ambassador to openly attack an MEP from the host country.

“After such a diplomatic blunder, Ambassador Blagojević should already be packing his bags for misusing his position and embarrassing Serbia,” Stefanović concluded.
