Snow came to Kosovo. White color covered the ground all over the country.
But, this isn’t the same as in previous years. At least for the children of the Serbian minority in northern Kosovo.
In videos circulating on social media, they are seen enjoying the snow, free and unafraid.
Happily, they are playing, throwing snowballs at the American KFOR soldiers. But, this situation wasn’t like this, so peaceful and harmonious a year ago.
Back then, KFOR wasn’t defending from snowball play but from batons and bombs thrown by Serbian criminals.
Indeed, from the clashes they had with KFOR, dozens of peacekeepers suffered injuries, some severe.
However, the state of harmony and peace in northern Kosovo arrived. This happened after organized criminal groups, directed and supported by the regime in Belgrade, were pursued out of Kosovo.
And the enjoyment of freedom by the children wasn’t taken away even by the covert attack in November of this year, on the Iber-Lepenc canal, risking not only them but also a large part of Kosovo to be left without water and electricity in the cold season.
