The Public Assembly Archive, an organization that estimates the number of participants in public gatherings, has provided its assessment of the turnout at today’s “15 for 15” protest in Serbia.

According to their report, between 275,000 and 325,000 people participated in the protest, with the possibility that the actual number is even higher. Due to the massive turnout, dynamic nature of the gathering, and unclear situations in certain areas—particularly in New Belgrade—a more precise estimate was deemed impossible.

These figures contradict the Serbian government’s official claim that around 100,000 protesters took part, with authorities asserting that participation has been continuously declining.

Today’s demonstration in Belgrade is considered the largest public gathering in Serbia’s modern history. The protest, organized in response to student-led blockades, drew hundreds of thousands of citizens from across the country to the capital.
