New official road signs in the Albanian language have been installed at the entry and exit points of the Municipality of Leposaviq, replacing previous signs written in Serbian and Cyrillic script.
The newly installed signs display Albanian text in capital letters, while Serbian-language text is placed below, in line with the standard practice applied in other municipalities across Kosovo, IndeksOnline reports.
The signs include welcome messages at municipal entry points and “safe travels” messages at exit points, clearly marking the territory of the Municipality of Leposaviq.
According to the report, the installation was carried out by the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure.
Authorities stated that the placement of the new signage was conducted in full compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, which regulate the official use of languages and public signage.
