The main Serbian party in Kosovo, Lista Srpska, held a media conference last night following the action taken by the Kosovo Police to close five properties used as illegal Serbian municipal offices in the northern part of the country.
However, Lista Srpska organized the conference only for selected journalists of their choice. This has caused dissatisfaction among journalists, including those in the north reporting in Serbian. Many media outlets, including Kontakt Plus, were not informed about the event, as reported by the Serbian language media.
“Upon learning from certain field colleagues, local journalists arrived at the press conference. However, when they reached the location, they were told that the event was not for the media they represented but for selected ones. Since we were not allowed to attend the conference, our media audience was deprived of information that is crucial at this moment due to the events in northern Kosovo,” the media outlet reported.
KoSSev also complained about this. The outlet reported that Lista Srpska tried to prevent their journalist from attending. KoSSev noted that even the Voice of America correspondent, who also reported on the situation, was not invited to the conference.
