Serbia’s Minister for Public Investments, Darko Glišić, suffered a sudden medical emergency during a live appearance on the morning program of Serbian broadcaster “Pink” on Tuesday.
The broadcast was abruptly interrupted after Glišić began to slur his speech and was unable to articulate complete sentences. The hosts repeatedly asked whether he was feeling well, but he was unable to respond, prompting the network to cut the segment.
According to unofficial reports, Glišić is suspected to have suffered a severe stroke. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Shortly after his arrival at the medical facility, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić reportedly visited Glišić. The minister is known to be one of Vučić’s closest political allies.
Darko Glišić has served as Minister for Public Investments in the Serbian government since May 2024. A founding member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), he has held the position of Chairman of the party’s Executive Committee since 2016.
Further updates on his condition are expected from official sources.
