Igor Popović, the Assistant Director of Serbia’s so-called “Office for Kosovo,” has been arrested by Kosovo Police. Gazeta Express learned this from its sources.

His arrest follows a speech he delivered today in Rahovec, where he reportedly used harsh language against the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).

“Igor Popović, Assistant Director of the so-called ‘Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government,’ held a speech today in Rahovec, during which he used harsh language against the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), labeling it as a terrorist organization. With his statements, he incited inter-ethnic hatred and division in Kosovo,” sources told Express.

In addition to the arrest, it’s expected that Popović will be expelled from Kosovo and banned from re-entering.

“Following the reporting of the case by security and intelligence institutions, he has now been arrested by the KP and will be expelled from Kosovo and prohibited from entering Kosovo,”.
