The leader of the freedom and Justice Party (SSP) in Serbia, Dragan Gjillas, said today at the meeting of the Serbian opposition and the delegation of Serbs from Kosovo that his party will never accept that Kosovo should be independent or a member of the United Nations.
He said that the survival of Serbs in Kosovo is crucial, “if they are not there, the war would lose its meaning”.
Gjillas also mentioned a series of measures that should be taken for the life of Serbs in Kosovo to be better, reports the Serbian news agency “Beta”.
Among them are construction of manufacturing plants, purchase of Agricultural Products, additional investment in the University of Mitrovica.
The leader of the centrist party of Serbia, Zdravko Ponos, stressed that “the negative trajectory cannot be stopped while the current government is in Belgrade” and that it is really possible to stop the “decline of the Serbian people in Kosovo” in the short term.
“In the session on Kosovo we will force the government to account, the opposition has power, let them know that we are watching them,” Ponos said.
The leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Zoran Llutovac, has stressed that it is necessary to form a political alternative to lista Srpska and that today’s rally is a “seed” for the formation of this alternative.
“The chain of corruption on the Belgrade – Srpska Lista line must be broken. The money allocated over the years to the people of Kosovo ended up in the wrong pockets, that is, it did not go where it should have,” Llutovac said.
The Green Front-Left representative in Serbia, Robet Kozma, has stressed that Serbs in Kosovo are “in the gap between two wrong policies – Pristina and Belgrade”.
” The politics of power in Belgrade has experienced a complete collapse, it is criminal and hypocritical, just like in other areas, ” Kozma said.
The deputy of the National Movement of Serbia, Alleksandar Ivanovic, has suggested to the delegation of Serbs from Kosovo to “try to gather all the individuals, political actors who do not gravitate towards either the prime minister of Kosovo or this kind of politics in Belgrade”.
He said: “this is a dangerous mission. Ten days after Olliver Ivanovic presented such an idea, he was killed,” Ivanovic said.
The president of the Serbian National Forum from Gracanica, Momqilo Trajkovic, said that the delegation of Serbs from Kosovo, in which he is also, aims to create an authentic Serbian policy in Kosovo “that should be a pillar of Serbia. We would like to participate in the creation of that policy in Serbia for Kosovo,” Trajkovic added.
The delegation of Serbs from Kosovo, which today spoke with the opposition parties and movements of Serbia, whose attention is focused on Kosovo, consists of the Serbian Democratic Forum, the Serbian National Forum and the “Fatherland”movement.
