“Aleksandar Vučić and a large part of the Serbian Radical Party and Slobodan Milošević’s Socialist Party owe a deep apology for everything they did in the 1990s, which, among other things, resulted in the fact that in the places where Vučić and Vojislav Šešelj ‘protected’ Serbs—there are no Serbs left,” said MP Vladimir Pajić from the Free Citizens’ Movement on the anniversary of “Operation Storm.”
In response to a question about whether he views the commemoration of “Operation Storm” in Loznica as a sort of counter-protest against lithium mining, he stated that such a date as the commemoration of “Operation Storm” should stand on its own and should not be linked to anything else.
“This is extremely pitiful. A date as significant as the commemoration of ‘Operation Storm’ should stand alone—it should not be connected to anything else. I believe that the commemoration of ‘Operation Storm’ in Loznica was organized, among other things, to create some form of cohesion based on nationalism, which is short-lived and does not honor the victims of ‘Operation Storm.’ I think Vučić and a large part of the Serbian Radical Party and Socialist Party owe a deep apology for everything they did in the 1990s, which, among other things, resulted in the fact that in the places where Aleksandar Vučić and Vojislav Šešelj ‘protected’ Serbs—there are no Serbs left,” Pajić declared to N1.
