Serbian Police Officer Arrested at Jarinje Border, Ammunition and Nearly €10,000 Seized

A Serbian police officer was arrested at the Jarinje border crossing after authorities discovered illegal ammunition and a large sum of cash in his vehicle.

Ammunition and Cash Confiscated

During the border check, officials found in the officer’s car, registered in Belgrade:

  • 51 rounds of ammunition
  • €9,900 in cash and 26,000 Serbian dinars

The officer is suspected of the criminal offense: “Import, export, supply, transport, production, exchange, brokerage, or unauthorized sale of weapons or explosives.”

Additional Items Seized

Police also confiscated:

  • Personal identification documents
  • Serbian police ID and union card
  • Serbian and Kosovo identity cards
  • Serbian passport
  • One set of uniform epaulets, gloves, and a USB drive

Legal Action

The suspect has been detained by court order, and law enforcement authorities have launched a formal investigation into the case.
