Aleksandar Vučić is solely to blame for the situation of Serbs living in Kosovo. He has met with them on several occasions and promised to protect them, but each time he deceived them. This is the claim of Predrag Marsenić, Vice President of the New Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS).
According to him, the issue of lithium extraction in the media in Serbia has simply left Serbs in the lurch. In an appearance on Nova S, this politician opposed lithium extraction in Serbia, stating that this is also the stance of his party.
He also asserts that the majority of Serbian citizens share the same position, and that the Serbian president is aware of this.
While Serbia presents itself as an “economic tiger,” citizens clearly see that the “stories of a better life” do not align with reality, Marsenić assesses.
Speaking about the upcoming visit of French President Emmanuel Macron, he says that Macron will defend the interests of his country, but he also claims that the Serbian president will not do the same.
At the same time, he notes that one of the topics of discussion will also be Kosovo.
Marsenić also recalls that Vučić has had a series of meetings with representatives of Serbs from Kosovo in the past, and during these talks, he promised to protect them.
“And he deceived them every time. He said how he would protect them,” the politician said.
He further mentions that there is a “spiral of lies” that the current government has entered:
“They are trying to deceive again, but I don’t think they will succeed this time,” Marsenić added.
