Students participating in the ongoing blockades have announced a nationwide action to collect signatures in support of calling early parliamentary elections, scheduled to take place on December 28.

According to information published by the student organizers and reported by N1, signature-collection booths will be set up at 90 locations across Serbia, stretching from Ada to Šid, making the initiative one of the most geographically extensive student-led political actions in recent years.

“The Whole of Serbia Declares Victory”

The campaign will be carried out under the slogan “Declare Victory”, with students stating in a public announcement:

“The whole of Serbia will declare victory on 28 December.”

Organizers have released a map and a detailed list of locations where citizens will be able to sign the petition, emphasizing that the action is intended to be inclusive, decentralized, and accessible to people across the country.

Call to the Serbian Diaspora

In addition to domestic mobilization, students have also issued a call to Serbian citizens living abroad, urging them to prepare in advance for upcoming elections.

They noted that voting from abroad requires prior preparation, much of which can be completed while visiting Serbia during the holiday period.

“The more of us who are prepared, the stronger our voice becomes. Let’s make a difference together,” the students stated.

Growing Pressure for Early Elections

The initiative comes amid rising public dissatisfaction and prolonged political tensions, with student movements increasingly positioning themselves as key drivers of civic pressure for democratic accountability and institutional change in Serbia.

By organizing a coordinated, countrywide signature drive, the students aim to demonstrate broad public support for early elections and challenge the ruling authorities to respond to growing demands for political change.
