The Kosovo Special Prosecutor’s Office has raised charges against Bedri Shabani and Muharrem Qerimi for espionage, following investigations carried out by security agencies. The move comes as more details emerge about an alleged espionage plan linked to Serbia’s intelligence services.
According to sources within security agencies, Ermal Panduri, the host of the Debat Plus show, revealed that Serbia had planned to install hidden cameras in hotels and motels in Kosovo, specifically targeting rooms used by high-ranking Kosovar politicians. The goal was to compromise these figures and later use the footage for blackmail.
Panduri disclosed that the KIA had uncovered that through Shabani, the Serbian intelligence service, known as BIA, aimed to plant cameras in high-end hotel rooms, which were frequented by top Kosovar officials. These covert surveillance methods were intended to gather compromising material for later exploitation and blackmail.
According to the sources, the targeted hotels were places where key figures of Kosovo would stay, with the plan to embarrass and manipulate them later. This revelation ties directly to Bedri Shabani’s alleged role in facilitating this espionage operation. The plan was reportedly discovered through exclusive intelligence shared with local media outlets.
The investigation is ongoing, as authorities continue to probe into the full extent of the spy network and its operations in Kosovo.
