Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has denied statements made by Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani alleging that Belgrade has threatened to escalate conflict in the region. Vučić’s reaction has, in turn, prompted a sharp response from Prindon Sadriu, President Osmani’s husband.

In a strong reaction on social media, Sadriu accused Vučić of attempting to delegitimize not only Osmani’s statements but also those of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Vučić calls Presidents Trump and Osmani liars, after they declared that President Trump recently prevented Serbia’s next war against Kosovo,” Sadriu wrote.

He further added that, according to Vučić, only Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin are “sources of truth.”

Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump has stated in several interviews that during his tenure, he intervened to prevent the escalation of a potential conflict between Kosovo and Serbia. These statements have been confirmed by President Osmani, who asserted she has reliable information regarding Trump’s involvement in preventing tensions.
