Groups of Serbs have gathered in Graçanica to begin the celebrations of what is known as Vidovdan.
Serb citizens of Kosovo started gathering on Saturday morning at the Graçanica Monastery.
It has been announced that throughout the day, more Serb groups from the region will arrive at Gazimestan.
The Kosovo Police are also present at the monastery to ensure the situation remains calm. KFOR is also on site.
The celebration of this day is tied to the anniversary of the Battle of Kosovo, which Serbian history interprets as a spiritual victory, despite the heavy losses in that battle where the Serbian prince Lazar was killed.
