A group of Kosovo Serbs gathered in North Mitrovica near the North Police Station to protest what they claim was the mistreatment of several young Serbs by the Kosovo Police following a clash with Albanian youths.
The protesters planned to march towards the Ibër Bridge, where they intended to meet with KFOR troops, demanding assurances of peace and security.
According to Kontakt Plus, the demonstrators’ main objective was to call on KFOR to “fulfill its mandate”, as they see it as the only security institution they trust.
