Albanian representative in the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in Washington, D.C. The recognition was presented by Sister Cities International, with the certificate handed over by the organization’s President and CEO, Ricki R. Garrett.
The award was granted in recognition of Kamberi’s contribution to advancing democratic governance and strengthening cooperation with American partners regarding the Presheva Valley.
“This recognition serves as additional motivation to continue working to protect the rights and interests of our citizens. The Presheva Valley must be present and heard at every international level. I thank all friends and partners who support this journey,” Kamberi stated following the ceremony.
Participation in National Prayer Events in Washington
As part of his visit to the United States, Kamberi also attended the National Prayer events in Washington, which were held in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.
The ceremony combined spiritual reflection with public responsibility, delivering messages emphasizing the importance of unity and shared values in public life. Participants highlighted that freedom and dignity require continuous dedication and responsibility.
Strengthening International Advocacy for the Presheva Valley
Kamberi’s participation in high-level gatherings in Washington also served as an opportunity to strengthen ties with American partners and raise awareness about the challenges and concerns facing Albanians in the Presheva Valley within key international decision-making circles.
