Renowned journalist and commentator Dritan Shakohoxha praised Edon Zhegrova during his appearance on “Telesportal.” He emphasized that Kosovo and the Albanian people should be honored to have a player of Zhegrova’s caliber.
According to him, the 25-year-old should be cherished and treated with care to fully enjoy the talent of this golden boy.
“Zhegrovë is a gift from God; we must protect him and keep him untouchable from agents around him. It’s an extraordinary fortune for Kosovo, and for someone like him to play for the Albanians,” he stated.
“Besides being an exceptional player, he is a true professional. I know him personally. He’s one of those guys who spends his summer holidays with his parents and family in Albania, on the southern Albanian coast, every year. He stays for ten days, only with family. He’s not a front-page celebrity, nor is he seen with models or stars. Yet, this handsome young man plays for the Albanian team.”
“Our race has a significant problem: it doesn’t forgive success. Every successful person is brought down. These people, these federation leaders in every European country, no one knows them, yet they want to be on top. Zhegrovë is before us? What are you saying? We are before Zhegrovë.”
