The current Mayor of Prizren and candidate for a second term, Shaqir Totaj, today unveiled the list of candidates from the Democratic Party of Kosovo for the Municipal Assembly. The list consists of 45 candidates, 65% of whom are running for the first time, bringing fresh energy and experience from various fields of professional and social life.
This composition also reflects representation from all social strata of the city and a variety of professions. Likewise, the proposed list mirrors the social and cultural diversity of Prizren.
Shaqir Totaj emphasized that the list was built to offer the most inclusive representation possible and to strengthen the Municipal Assembly with new voices and professionals of integrity.
“Young men and women, professors and doctors, urban planners and experts, activists and dedicated PDK members will serve Prizren with zeal and commitment. As the mayor seeking a second term, I invite you to share and support the winning list in the October 12 elections. May it be for the best,” he wrote.
The new list of candidates is seen as a strategic step to strengthen the work accomplished during Totaj’s first term and to build on the results achieved, with the aim of creating an even more developed and inclusive Prizren in the years to come.
