Shqipe Selimi, wife of Rexhep Selimi, made a statement ahead of the next session at the Specialized Chambers in The Hague, emphasizing the importance of this phase of the trial.

She highlighted that the process is significant not only for the four former KLA leaders, but also for all citizens of Kosovo, reaffirming that the KLA’s struggle was just and in line with the people’s right to freedom.

“This is a very important process, not only for the four KLA leaders but for all of us. It is well known that the KLA’s war was just and in the right of the people. We are all here to support the KLA four, and for the court to act in accordance with their rights, and our rights,” she told the media.

The trial against the former KLA leaders has now entered its final stage, with the accused expected to deliver their closing statements before the court announces the final verdict.
