On the 27th anniversary of the Kosovo Liberation Army’s (UÇK) Epopee, Presheva Mayor Ardita Sinani paid tribute to the Jashari family at the Adem Jashari Memorial Complex in Prekaz.

During the visit, Sinani emphasized that the sacrifice of the Jashari family remains a guiding light for all Albanians, highlighting their role in Kosovo’s fight for freedom.

“Today, we stand in historic Prekaz, honoring the supreme sacrifice of Commander Adem Jashari, his family, and all those who gave their lives for the freedom of Kosovo. Visiting their graves fills us with both deep sorrow and immense pride,” Sinani stated.

The Epopee of the Kosovo Liberation Army is commemorated every year from March 5 to 7, marking the three-day resistance in 1998, during which 59 members of the Jashari family were killed in an attack by Serbian forces.
