The Mayor of Presheva, Ardita Sinani, has expressed gratitude to Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti for the Kosovo Government’s decision to allocate €4 million in support for the Presheva Valley in 2026.

Sinani emphasized that the increase in funding is the result of the municipality’s institutional request and reflects concrete decision-making, demonstrating sustainable partnership and commitment to Albanians in Presheva Valley, including Presheva, Bujanoc, and Medvegjë.

“Thanks to this support, new development opportunities are opening in education, culture, economy, and the preservation of national identity,” Sinani said, highlighting the importance of investment for the local community.

The decision is expected to directly improve living conditions and support projects aimed at strengthening identity and well-being among Albanians in the region.

It is worth recalling that the Kosovo government has provided dedicated funding to the Presheva Valley in previous years as well. In 2022, for the first time, a state fund of €2 million was established, creating a specific budget line that has now increased to €4 million.
