Today marks six years since the day the Assembly of Kosovo officially adopted three laws, enabling the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into the Kosovo Army.
The vote was met with long applause in the Assembly.
The then-President of the Assembly, Kadri Veseli, said that with this vote, a new era was beginning for the state of Kosovo.
“From this moment, we officially have the Kosovo Army. In the hall, we have cadets from the Kosovo Security Force who, from this moment, are soldiers of Kosovo, and we congratulate them on the Kosovo Army,” Veseli said.
This day was recalled by PDK MP Ganimete Musliu, who shared several photos.
“There are moments that are never forgotten and are always remembered with pride! Six years ago in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, the Kosovo Army was voted!” Musliu wrote.
