A fire broke out in the Pine Park in Sllatinë this morning, confirmed the Director of Firefighters, Malë Gashi, to Telegrafi.
Gashi stated that additional teams have been deployed due to the large area affected by the blaze.
“Yes, at 09:30, information was received about a fire in the Pine Park in Sllatinë. The firefighting team immediately went to the scene, where a large area was engulfed in flames. We have engaged additional personnel, bringing the total to 10 individuals,” Gashi said.
The fire chief added that there are a total of 14 firefighters and 3 vehicles at the scene, and teams are still actively working to extinguish the fire.
Unofficially, it’s understood that approximately 3 hectares of pine trees have been affected by the fire, and it is believed to have been caused by citizen negligence.
