The Kosovo Customs announced that during an operation at Pristina International Airport, authorities prevented three attempted smuggling cases, including two involving mobile phones and one involving undeclared cash.

According to the official statement, during the inspection of a passenger arriving on an international flight, customs officers discovered several phones concealed on his person, suspected to be intended for the black market. Another passenger was also found attempting to smuggle smartphones.

In the same operation, 36,500 euros in undeclared cash were discovered in checked baggage, of which 9,000 euros were confiscated, in accordance with laws regulating the cross-border movement of money.

The case has been referred to the Customs Investigation Directorate for further investigation to determine legal responsibilities and follow-up procedures.

The institution emphasized its continued commitment to preventing smuggling, money laundering, and other illegal activities that undermine the country’s economy and security.
