The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has been arrested at the request of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK).
Agents from the National Bureau of Investigation arrived at the office of the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, after a detention order was issued for him.
It has been reported that the security measure “house arrest” has been applied to his wife, Ajola Xoxa.
“The mayor is expected to be informed about his security measure. It was SPAK that initiated the investigation against the mayor,” reports Abcnews.
