The Speaker of the Parliament of Albania, Niko Peleshi, is set to visit Kosovo on Monday, in a move seen as part of ongoing institutional cooperation between the two countries.
According to an announcement from the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, the Speaker of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, will officially receive Peleshi at 10:00 AM. The meeting is expected to focus on parliamentary collaboration and broader political relations between Kosovo and Albania.
This visit comes just one week after the trip of Elisa Spiropali to Kosovo. Shortly after her visit, she left her position as Albania’s foreign minister as part of a broader government reshuffle led by Prime Minister Edi Rama. During that restructuring, Ferit Hoxha was appointed as the new Minister for Foreign Affairs.
The upcoming visit by Peleshi is expected to further underline the close political and institutional ties between Albania and Kosovo, particularly through cooperation between their legislative bodies.
