The Special Court in The Hague has issued a notice regarding the trial of Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, and Jakup Krasniqi.
The statement confirms that the closing arguments for this case will take place next month.
The closing statements are scheduled before the Chambers of the Special Court from February 9 to 13, as well as on February 16 and 18, from 09:00 to 16:30 each day.
- On February 9, the Prosecution’s closing statement will be presented and will continue on February 10, along with the Victims’ Counsel closing statement.
- On February 11, the defense statements of Thaçi and Veseli are scheduled, with Veseli’s defense continuing on February 12.
- The defense statement of Rexhep Selimi will also be presented on February 12 and continue on February 13, the same day the closing statement of Jakup Krasniqi begins, which will continue on February 16.
Additionally, on February 16, the Chamber is scheduled to pose questions to the parties.
The initial indictment against the four defendants was confirmed on October 26, 2020, and subsequently amended on September 3, 2021, April 29, 2022, and September 30, 2022.
