Kosovo’s Special Prosecution has denied that any journalist is under investigation, following recent remarks by President Vjosa Osmani, who accused some journalists of having ties with Milan Radoičić, the main suspect in the terrorist attack in Banjska.

Spokesperson Arbnora Luta told RTV21 that there are no open cases involving journalists:

“Regarding the issue you raised, we inform you that no journalist is under investigation by the Special Prosecution and there is no open case involving journalists. The Special Prosecution continues to act fully in accordance with the law, maintaining independence, impartiality, and professionalism in every case,” Luta stated.

The clarification comes after President Osmani’s press conference, where she explained that the investigations are not targeting journalists but other individuals.

“First of all, journalists have not been investigated. Others have been investigated — the Radoičić group. When the Radoičićs are investigated, their collaborators come up as well,” Osmani said.

She did not mention names, stressing that investigations are ongoing:

“They know who they are, they have a guilty conscience,” the president remarked.
