The Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo has filed a request for pre-trial detention for the accused Aleksandar Vllajiq.
The individual in question was arrested last night and is Aleksandar Vllajiq, who had been a Kosovo police officer.
He was apprehended based on operational information provided by the Kosovo Intelligence Agency.
The arrest of the suspect occurred Wednesday night following several investigations conducted by AKI and the Kosovo Police.
“The request for pre-trial detention was filed by this prosecutor, as there is a suspicion based on evidence that the same person committed the criminal acts of ‘Espionage’ and ‘Unauthorized possession, control, or possession of weapons’,” the prosecutor’s office statement said.
