The Kosovo Special Operations Unit is closely monitoring the construction site of the two new bridges over the Ibër River.
The Deputy Director of Police in North Mitrovica, Veton Elshani, stated that vigilance has been heightened until the bridges are officially opened.
The two new bridges over the Ibër River are expected to open for vehicle traffic on September 1, while their construction began 54 days ago.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the asphalting of both bridges commenced, according to officials from the acting government.
