The Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague has accepted as evidence a number of documents submitted by the Serbian authorities, following a request from the Office of the Specialist Prosecutor.

In response to this development, a delegation from the Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans Organization (OVL-UÇK), led by its chairman Hysni Gucati, was received for a meeting at the German Embassy in Prishtina by Deputy Head of Mission, Christian Boettcher.

The organization expressed gratitude toward Germany, emphasizing its crucial role in both the liberation and reconstruction of Kosovo. “Kosovo and the Kosovo Liberation Army are fortunate to have such a great friend as Germany, a country with an irreplaceable role in our nation’s freedom and development,” the OVL-UÇK said.

“We thank the Deputy Head of Mission for the warm reception and the willingness to hear our concerns regarding developments at the Specialist Chambers in The Hague. We also requested support from our friendly state of Germany to ensure a fair and impartial process for all the accused.”

A protest against the Specialist Chambers has been announced for tomorrow in Prishtina, scheduled to begin at 17:00 in Skënderbeu Square.
